I am a graduate from the University of Western States where I received my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree cum laude. While interning at the school clinic and downtown clinic for homeless youth and marginalised individuals, I had the opportunity to treat people of all backgrounds, musculoskeletal and co-existing conditions. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Behavioural Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia.
I was first exposed to chiropractic while working at this very clinic, when I was treated for an old basketball injury that had never healed properly. It was my experience as a patient and a chiropractic office assistant that allowed me to discover the wide array of conditions chiropractic care could address. I believe that everyone can benefit from chiropractic care, whether it be due to traumatic or overuse injuries, or just maintaining optimal functionality and wellness. I use diversified adjusting techniques including the Zindler technique, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and cupping, as well as my knowledge of rehabilitation programs to help my patients achieve physical independence.
I was born in Taiwan, so I am fluent in Mandarin, but being raised in Vancouver, I am also plenty fluent in everything that our beautiful city has to offer, from the outdoor lifestyle to the diverse food options that you will often find me indulging in.
